IPL 2019: Kieron Pollard Fined For Break Of Code Of Conduct
The Windies star batsman Kieron Pollard, who plied his trade for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2019 has been fined for showing his dissent to the umpire. The lanky all-rounder has been fined for 25% of his match fees due to the break of the code of conduct in the final of the tournament.
Pollard, who scored an unbeaten 41, was visibly unhappy with a decision made by umpire Nitin Menon in the final over of Mumbai’s innings. The umpire’s decision to not adjudge a delivery by Dwayne Bravo as wide irked Pollard.

Kieron Pollard was fined under Level 1:
However, he kept moving away and let go off his strike as the bowler had to abort his run-up. This prompted the umpires to have a quick chat with him. The final two balls of the over were dispatched for two boundaries as Mumbai ended with 149.
Pollard was charged under Level 1 offence 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and he accepted the sanction.
The Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai unit went on to clinch their fourth IPL title as they defeated Chennai by 1 run in a thrilling finale. Batting first, Kieron Pollard quick knock of 41 runs, which included three fours and an equal number of sixes, helped Mumbai post 149/8 on the board.
In reply to the chase, Chennai Super Kings lost Faf du Plessis after a good start but the lack of partnerships failed to make things fall in place for CSK. However, Shane Watson played a blistering knock but, unfortunately, ended up on the wrong side of things.
