“Experiences showed how to keep its nerve to exuberance when Chennai beat Delhi easily in what was anticipated to be a nail biter. The manner in which the Chennai bowlers choked some of the finest young stroke-makers in India was awesome,” Gavaskar wrote in his column for the ToI.
Delhi has played dynamic cricket:

In addition, Capitals had made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2012 after eliminating Kane Williamson-led side.
The supreme show from opener Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, in particular, has helped the team’s cause. But at the top, Kagiso Rabada has bowled his heart out to claim 25 scalps in 12 matches before nursing a back niggle.
Concurrently, he is donning the Purple Cap.
Gavaskar maintained that the keenness to make it to the finals has got bigger on the young guns. However, he believes they’ll be in good stead owing to the wealth of experience.
“It could well be that the sense of the occasion. And the delicious anticipation of getting to the finals got to the youngsters but they will be the better for the experience,” he wrote.

While speaking about Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) finale schedule on May 12, Gavaskar has termed it’s the mega battle.
Pertinently, both teams have had shared six titles between each other.
“Mumbai will clearly start as the favourites having beaten Chennai. And that too comfortably in their three meetings so far this season. But the finals is a different animal altogether.
