Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals)

The 18-year-old Mumbai cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal has not only impressed in the youth cricket, but he has also highly impressed in the senior domestic cricket. While the youngster has scored 20 runs in his debutant first-class match, the left-handed batsman has scored 779 runs in just 13 List A games (average 70.81), including three centuries and three half-centuries.
During the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20, the Mumbai youngster Jaiswal smashed 203 runs off 154 balls (17 fours and 12 sixes) against Jharkhand and created a history by becoming the youngest cricketer in the world to score a List A double-century.
In the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2020, while India U19 finished as the runners-up, Jaiswal won the Player of the Tournament award after finishing as the most run-scorer in that tournament (400 runs). In the six innings of that tournament, Jaiswal hit one century and four half-centuries.
Jaiswal had the base price of INR 20 lakh in the 2020 IPL auction, but the Rajasthan Royals (RR) spent INR 2.4 crore to secure him in their squad. While the Rajasthan franchise is searching for a good left-handed batsman in the top-order, Jaiswal can get some opportunities in the forthcoming IPL season.
