Barbados born- Jofra Archer, who plays for England cricket team, took social media for addressing racial abuse. The pacer has come out as the superstar for the England team. He contributed to England’s triumph in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and Ashes 2019 respectively.
On Monday, Archer posted a screenshot, where a user messaged him an objectionable comment, (on his Instagram story). He further complained that how can someone write these words.
“I (have) given a lot of thought about reacting to this and I hope no one else has to deal with stuff like this on a regular basis, it isn’t ever acceptable and should be addressed properly in my opinion,” he wrote in one of his Instagram stories.
“I will never understand how people feel so freely to say these things to another human being, it baffles me,” he added.

This is not the first time he is facing such comments. During the Test series against New Zealand, Archer while fielding at the boundary was taunted by a spectator.
After the end of the match, Archer had tweeted: “A bit disturbing hearing racial insults today while battling to help save my team. The crowd has been amazing this week except for that one guy.”
The New Zealand board had taken immediate action as they banned that spectator for two years from attending international and domestic matches in the country.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old is suffering from the stress fracture in the right elbow. He was ruled out of the IPL because of injury. But as the now the IPL has postponed from 29th March because of coronavirus outbreak.
BCCI has proposed five expected date to start for the IPL, among them the latest is 15th April. Jofra Archer will play the IPL or not will be decided after the pandemic ends.
