Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag isn’t sure how MS Dhoni will be fit in the present Indian team if he wants to return in the national side.
Most of the Indian cricket fans are eagerly waiting to see the former Indian World Cup-winning captain, Dhoni, on the cricket field. Since the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, where India suffered the heart-breaking defeat against New Zealand, Dhoni hasn’t played a professional cricket match yet.

Dhoni’s return to the national team is still unsure as neither Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nor the wicketkeeper-batsman has clarified about the future. It was only sure that Dhoni would feature in the IPL 2020 as he already started the practice for his IPL team — Chennai Super Kings (CSK) before the coronavirus outbreak forced to postpone the tournament as well as the team practice.
Indian Head Coach Ravi Shastri has also claimed that Dhoni may not return to the ODI cricket, but his IPL 2020 performances can help him to return to the T20I side for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.
Virender Sehwag can’t see MS Dhoni as the replacement of Rishabh Pant or KL Rahul

However, Virender Sehwag is unsure about how Dhoni will be fit in the present Indian team while Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are active in top form.

Sehwag recently said according to India.com, “Where will he fit in? With the likes of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul already in form, especially the latter performing exceptionally well of late, I think there is no reason why we should not stick with them.”
On the other hand, the Indian captain Virat Kohli recently had a tough tour in New Zealand where his bat was mostly silent. However, Sehwag called him a class batsman.
The former defended Kohli by claiming that the hard time always comes to the great batsmen in every generation.

Sehwag said, “He [Kohli] is a class batsman but that has happened to all the great batsmen in different eras be it Sachin Tendulkar, Steven Waugh, Jacques Kallis or Ricky Ponting. We must admit that the Kiwis were superior to us in the ODIs and Tests. In the T20s, Kiwis lost close matches. In the shortest format it is always difficult to make a quick comeback.”
While Kohli was mostly off with the bat, India started the New Zealand tour with the victory of five-match T20I series (5-0) but then suffered defeats in the three-match ODI series (3-0) and two-match Test series (2-0).
