Roman Reigns is all set to compete in his next title defense and this time around, the challenge will be a massive one. He will defend the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event of the WWE Crown Jewel 2021 pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia. On October 21, this mega showdown will happen between the longest-reigning Universal Champion vs. the one who is almost catching up with him.
It all began with the return of Brock Lesnar at Summerslam 2021 following the main event match where Roman Reigns defeated John Cena to retain his Universal Championship. Following this, he saw a ghost where the former champion walked out into the Allegiant Stadium to confront him.
With Paul Heyman in the mix, this feud is building up nicely on Smackdown, each week. The fact that Roman Reigns is a top heel and Brock Lesnar is playing the role of a top babyface is something interesting by all means. That being said, WWE Universe can’t wait to see this match, happening and it’s not likely that the program is ending on this PPV night.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar could happen at Wrestlemania 38
According to the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar feud might not end with this PPV match. Unless The Rock returns to feature in the biggest Wrestlemania match against his Samoan cousin, probably Lesnar vs. Reigns might get carried forward to next year. Meanwhile, check out what the source had to offer,
“From what we understand, and what makes sense, this is not a one-and-done program. For one, unless Dwayne Johnson is wrestling Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, this would appear to be the biggest possible Mania match.
So the idea here is to build to a return, whether that means Lesnar wins to build to a rematch or some disputed decision takes place. There is also Paul Heyman in play as the storyline is written to tease that Heyman is a double agent and you don’t know who he will side with when all the chips are down.”
As of this writing, Roman Reigns is the obvious favorite to retain his championship against the Beast Incarnate at Crown Jewel 2021. He’s not dropping his title, anytime soon. In fact, reports have already claimed that he’s not dropping the belt until and unless next year’s Wrestlemania season comes around.
