WWE usually doesn’t like to change their plans especially when it comes to their TV tapings. But The novel coronavirus has its own issues to cause disruptions in set schedules and it definitely doesn’t care whether Vince McMahon would like it or not. Going by the deteriorated situation caused in Florida, WWE now has a new schedule that will take them through Extreme Rules PPV.
Coronavirus: More WWE Talents Want To Take Time-Off Like Roman Reigns
We can only hope that coronavirus doesn’t hamper it, once again. Ringsidenews.com exclusively reported that WWE’s television tapings needed to be changed since each of the talents had to go through the COVID-19 testing. The company had to ensure the health of their employees and as long as the test results weren’t coming in, they couldn’t proceed with the tapings causing a huge delay in their schedule.
It was later reported that the backstage atmosphere within the WWE can be compared to an ‘asylum’ due to coronavirus threats. Thus this week’s tapings were canceled and wrestlingINC.com informed that a new set of TV tapings will be followed. They will tape RAW, SmackDown, Main Event, and 205 Live together at PC whereas NXT will be taped separately at a different location of Full Sail University.
The entire set of next TV tapings stands as follows,
Fri 6/26: That night’s SmackDown
Mon 6/29: Raw (6/29), Smackdown (7/3), Main Event and 205 Live
Tue 6/30: Raw (7/6), Smackdown (7/10), Main Event and 205 Live
Wed 7/1: NXT (7/1) and 7/8)
Mon 7/13: Raw (7/13), Smackdown (7/17), Main Event and 205 Live
Tue 7/14: NXT (7/15)
Sun 7/19: Extreme Rules PPV Live
Mon 7/20: Raw (7/20), Smackdown (7/24), Main Event and 205 Live
Tue 7/21: Raw (7/27), Smackdown (7/31), Main Event and 205 Live
Wed 7/22: NXT (7/22 and 7/22)
It should be noted that this given schedule can change anytime given how the coronavirus situation is getting soured day by day in Florida. Nobody expected that WWE would cancel the tapings for this week but they did in a situation where they were facing immense delay.
As a result, SmackDown superstars and crews were informed that they could leave the training facility and need to come back on June 26th. Those who don’t reside in Florida, hurriedly left the building as they’re not needed for this week.
