America is going through a tough phase due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has taken thousands of lives, to date. As a result, the Government has taken steps to slow down the spread of this deadly virus. The White House and US President Donald Trump recently held a conference call with commissioners from major sports leagues around the United States.

Vince McMahon represented WWE on that call. The topic discussed during this conversation was how the ongoing global pandemic has left its impact on sports in the country. All the other sporting events are in a halted condition whereas WWE continued to tape shows without an audience in attendance.

There were talks on when the biggest sports entertainment company in the world, as well as other outlets, could bring back fans in the arenas.

It looks like there’s no way that the problem is going to end, soon. The previous timeline of May to have the fans back in attendance could be postponed for several months.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Donald Trump told the representatives on the call that he hopes to have fans back in stadiums, arenas, and at live events by August or September. There’s no update on whether medical experts agree with this timeline.

Apart from Vince McMahon from WWE, Dana White was on the call representing the UFC, Adam Silver representing the NBA, Rob Manfred representing MLB, Roger Goodell representing the NFL, Gary Bettman representing the NHL, Jay Monahan representing the PGA Tour, John Middlebrook or Jim France representing NASCAR, Don Garber representing MLS and Cathy Engelbert representing the WNBA.

All of these sporting leagues have suspended their respective schedule in the wake of the global Coronavirus pandemic. UFC still hopes to deliver the UFC 249 pay-per-view event whereas Vince and Co. continue hosting audience free episodes of weekly programming or PPV events in due course until the situation gets under control.

But there’s no surety whether he can keep the show taping in progress as the state of Florida (where the Performance Center is located) is under a shutdown mandate that could be extended.
