With that being said, the main event for next week’s Raw is all set as a prime babyface will go up against the biggest heel of the blue brand. Also, as reported earlier, WWE will now be allowing crossovers from both Raw and Smackdown, for the time being, to improve the slumping TV ratings.
Becky Lynch Announces Pregnancy On WWE Raw; Vacates Title To Asuka

Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the downgoing viewerships of both Raw and Smackdown and hence decided to go forward with the cross-brand ideas.
More cross-brand appearance has been announced on Raw as the WWE NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will appear during this Friday’s SmackDown on FOX. There’s no word yet on what she will be doing.
Although, Flair won the NXT Women’s title from Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania 36, she’ still a member of the Raw roster. So it’ll be interesting to see how WWE plans to use her on the blue brand instead of this week’s Raw.

According to POST Wrestling, the idea is that it will be a simpler version of last year’s Wild Card Rule, which didn’t sit well with most of the fans. The new crossover rule will allow the top two brands that are Raw and Smackdown to trade talents to a minimum extent.
It was noted that the new rule comes at a time when ratings are significantly down for both the shows. The idea for crossovers may have come at the request of FOX and the USA Network who airs Smackdown and Raw, respectively.
It was also noted by POST Wrestling that the status of the WWE Intercontinental Championship will be addressed later this week, likely during Friday’s SmackDown on FOX.
Sami Zayn is the current holder of the belt but he didn’t show up in WWE tapings since WrestleMania 36, where he retained over Daniel Bryan. He won the title at Elimination Chamber on March 8 from Braun Strowman.
