Virat Kohli was awarded the player of the match for his unbeaten 82-run knock against Mumbai Indians (MI), ace Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter was applauded by their wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik after the match, as RCB clinched the game by 8 wickets.
Kholi hit MI’s speedster Jofra Archer for a six and also charged him down the wicket for a boundary, Karthik said on this that it is the style ace Indian batter plays with, and Kohli like taking big dogs from the opponent side.
Dinesh Karthik feels Virat Kohli’s inning was a confidence booster-
“Look I think that is Virat Kohli. He sees the big dog in the opponent and realises that he wants to take him on. That’s the guy he wants to take on, makes a statement, steps out and hits him over mid-on. Not many people can say they have stepped out to Jofra and hit him over covers,” said RCB’s Wicketkeeper-batter.
While in the game Faf du Plessis-led RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first, Rohit Sharma-led MI batted first and posted a total of 171 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs, MI youngster Tilak Verma scored brilliant 84 runs in 46 balls for his side.

“The pull shot that he got, just the way he dominated. He made a statement that ‘look I am here and I want to make a difference to this team. Today Jofra obviously had his first game for MI as well. The way Virat played him was a confidence booster when you look from the outside,” he further added.
Whereas in reply, RCB chased down the target with ease, and with 22 balls remaining, their star opening duo of du Plessis and Virat Kohli added 148 runs for the opening stand, Kohli remained not out on 82 runs and finished the game in style with a six on the last ball.
Meanwhile, after the completion of the 5th match, all 10 teams in IPL 2023 have started their camping, meanwhile, on April 3 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Chennai.
