For now, WWE Backlash is the very next pay-per-view, scheduled on June 14 which is likely to take place from the closed-set Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Extreme Rules is then scheduled on July 19 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California followed by SummerSlam pay-per-view which is still intact on August 23 in Boston, Massachusettes at the TD Garden. But going by the recent reports, the show is likely to be moved owing to the pandemic.

Just like any other sport, pro-wrestling events have also stopped amid the coronavirus pandemic. The major promotions like WWE, AEW, or Impact Wrestling have been able to carry out shows at the specific closed-set venues in specific states only.

Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Arizona have already sounded positive to open their doors for pro-wrestling sports. Now California will be allowing empty arena shows starting from June. California Governor Gavin Newsom revealed during a press conference on Monday that pro sports weekly show and pay-per-view tapings are coming back to the state if the COVID-19 situation remains under control,

“Pro sports in that first week or so of June without spectators and modifications and very prescriptive conditions also can begin to move forward…if we hold these trend lines in the next number of weeks.”

SoCal Uncensored reported that New Japan Pro Wrestling intends to use their California Dojo sometime around the summer. They will be able to host pay-per-view or weekly events if California allows them to do so without audience.
