The Fiend Competed In Universal Title Match After WWE SmackDown
This happens after what transpired on this week’s opening segment of SmackDown. Meanwhile, WWE.com confirmed the match with the following statements,
“After weeks of speculation, Morrison joined his longtime friend on “Miz TV” and defended The Miz against the WWE Universe’s recent backlash. The New Day entered in an attempt to deliver a dose of reality to the former “Dirt Sheet” co-hosts, and Kingston met The Miz in the ring for a showdown.
The Prince of Parkour showed he still has the moves with an impressive flip from the ring steps that neutralized Big E and spurred his longtime friend to victory. Will Morrison bring the same intensity inside the squared circle, or will Big E’s strength be too much to overcome?”

John Morrison was standing by ringside to deliver a kick on Big E’s head during the singles match between Kofi Kingston and The Miz. This allowed Miz to win the contest after delivering the Skull Crushing Finale. E was irate about what happened who looks forward to seeking redemption against the returnee through a contest.
Following this match on SmackDown, John Morrison spoke to Kayla Braxton during a backstage interview to note that he felt home after appearing on the show. The best part is that he got to go along with his former partner whom he shares an incredible history with,
“Eight years? I mean this has got to be the best night in 8 years that they have ever had. No, I’m just kidding. Honestly, that I’ve ever had,” John Morrison confessed. “I’m joking around a lot but really it touches your heart to be out there under the lights, to be out there with The Miz, with Mike, to be out there with everybody and it’s cliche to say it feels like home, but it feels like home.”
