The 2020 edition of Royal Rumble has been set up to be pretty unpredictable, as of now. The men and women’s division winners are yet to be locked in that is keeping the rumor mill going at its full speed.
But the better part of this year’s Rumble event is that we can expect multiple returns gathered in one place. Both the men and women’s division matchup alongside the other segments may have multiple surprises in-store.
WWE Announces New Participants For Men And Women’s Royal Rumble
As reported by The Dirty Sheets, WWE Hall of Famers Edge and Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray) are all set to return for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view. It was previously updated by PWInsider.com that despite Edge’s denial regarding a return, it would happen, at one point.
Edge Comments On His Potential WWE Return At Royal Rumble 2020
The Master Manipulator has now been added to the listed talent roster for February. So he should be competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match, without a doubt. However, WWE officials are yet to decide on the final creative plans for Edge. If they can’t book him in a spot where he can reflect his strong legendary persona, then his return could be postponed for the following week. It means he would be available for WrestleMania 35.

WWE Bringing Two Injured Wrestlers For 2020 Royal Rumble Weekend
As for Harlem Heat, they were set to appear on this week’s SmackDown answering an open challenge. Since it did not go down that way, chances are heavy that this segment was pushed back for Royal Rumble. Booker T and Stevie Ray should come out on Sunday’s show itself facing off Dash and Dawson. Apart from them, former WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, and Cain Velaquez are listed for a Rumble return.
From the women’s division, Shayna Baszler is almost confirmed to enter the fray whereas Ruby Riott and Nia Jax could also be gearing up for a return in WWE during this Sunday’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match, as per PWInsider.com. Riott was at the WWE Performance Center earlier this month to train and have her progress monitored towards getting medically cleared to return.
Another Big Return Reportedly Confirmed For WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Match
As for Jax, she underwent double knee surgery back on April 25 of last year with a projected return around summer. But it was pushed back for some unknown reasons. She is said to be in great shape and WWE could certainly use her for the Royal Rumble match and thereby at WrestleMania 36. As noted earlier, Naomi is also set to make a return this Sunday in the Rumble match.
