Samoa Joe is currently absent from WWE programming as he is serving a 30-day suspension for his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. He is gearing up for a bug return possibly after WrestleMania 36 to have the match of his life. He had a conversation with SportBible and declared that he would like to face The Undertaker in a dream match.
Samoa Joe’s WWE Career In Jeopardy Following Head Concussion
While speaking out the reason why he would like to face The Undertaker in future, Samoa Joe revealed that The Undertaker loves to show great work ethics which are on much more display, these days,
“You know, I think the things that especially now that I appreciate about ‘Taker’s work are much more on display now than they probably ever have been. And yeah, I would be down to get down with ‘Taker, whether it would be now or whenever in the future.” (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
Big News: WWE To Introduce A New Character For The Undertaker
The Samoan Submission Machine then went on to discuss his rivalry with AJ Styles in the past. These two have previously squared off in the TNA Wrestling Promotion before joining the WWE. They had an illustrious feud over the WWE Championship back in 2018 that was pretty intense where AJ’s family was involved, too.
As per Samoa Joe, it was not surprising at all to see them feuding in WWE as this had to happen to pull off some great matches to let their great chemistry know to the WWE Universe,
“Oh, it was great [to have the rivalry in WWE],” Joe said. “I mean, any time you get in the ring with AJ — any time I have throughout my career — usually great things happen. And it’s a testament to him and his ability. It was nothing new for us, we knew it was bound to happen, we’ve kind of been intertwined throughout the breadth of our careers, so us managing to see each other across the ring was no surprise [laughs].”
Samoa Joe might have to wait a long time before getting to compete against The Phenome inside the squared circle. For now, The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles is slated to happen at WrestleMania 36, this year whereas Joe could not return to the ring before the last week of March.
Sitting out of any storylines could cause Samoa Joe yet another Wrestlemania. Despite debuting on the main roster in January 2017, the former NXT Champion has competed in only one WrestleMania. He defended the United States Championship successfully against Rey Mysterio, last year.
