As seen on Raw, the SmackDown Women’s Title match at Extreme Rules will now be a 2-on-1 Handicap Match where Bayley defends against Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss. It was a shift from the original lineup of Bayley vs. Bliss, as announced earlier. Plus, Cross also wanted Bayley that she needs to find a friend who will have her back and talk some sense into her.

Needless to say, this fuelled up the return of Sasha Banks in a predictable way for the WWE Universe. Rumors are running rampant that The Boss will finally come back to the scene after a long hiatus. Additionally, future advertisements also hint that the return seems imminent. The host venue of Summerslam included Sasha Banks in the list of superstars who will perform in that night.

Plus, the Raw episode of August 22nd at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida also included Sasha Banks into the list of superstars in attendance. Below given are the names who will be present on that night,

“AJ Styles; Braun Strowman; Bobby Lashley; United States Champion Samoa Joe; The Miz; Rey Mysterio; Alexa Bliss; Sasha Banks; Ricochet; The Usos; The Revival; Robert Roode; EC3 & many more”.

Whether these are sure-shot indications that one of the most popular superstars are indeed returning to the WWE, a veteran wrestling journalist opposed the idea. Dave Meltzer speculated that Sasha Banks may not return at Extreme Rules. Backstage reports suggest that the officials have still not locked this to happen on this Sunday night, (via 411mania.com)

“If it was lock [that Banks wanted to return to WWE] she’d be back.”

Meltzer added that the return is still in a determined state breaking hearts for the Sasha Banks fans. So the capacity around the women’s title match remains interesting as we wait for Extreme Rules.
