Plus, Banks delivered an onslaught attack on Becky Lynch by the end of the show to deliver a major statement before the title match goes down at Hell in a Cell PPV.

The match lineup on Smackdown featured Smackdown women’s champion Bayley teaming with Sasha Banks against Charlotte Flair and Carmella. Flair almost had the win over Banks if not Bayley would break the submission attempt. Carmella entered the ring and took her out with a Superkick. But she soon got caught into the Bank Statement to digest the submission loss.

After the match, Banks and Bayley tried to ambush Charlotte Flair in the ring. But WWE Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch ran out to make the save. He locked in the dis-arm-her on her Hell in a Cell opponent and thereby shoved her off the ring. But Sasha Banks took revenge by the end of Smackdown as she pounced on The Man and destroying her at backstage.
Meanwhile, the quest for the tenth title reign continues for Charlotte Flair on Smackdown Live. She had come up short against Bayley at Clash of Champions. But that happened due to the cheap antics from the champion who has recently turned into a heel. She pulled off the padding over the turnbuckles and shoved Flair’s head into it while the referee was not watching. Thereafter, the win was just three counts away as she ran away.

But the altercations between Charlotte Flair and Bayley continued in the following weeks. Over on Raw a week ago, Sasha Banks and Bayley started double-teaming on the WWE Raw women’s champion, Becky Lynch. But Flair ran out to make the save for The Man. The very next night, the heel duo named Boss n Hug connection tried to ambush Charlotte Flair for her actions. But Carmella saved The Queen from suffering an attack.
This led to the tag team action announced for this week’s Smackdown. Sasha Banks and Bayley teamed up to take on Carmella and Charlotte Flair. Speculations were that WWE arranged this matchup just to hand over Flair yet another title shot to Flair at Hell in a Cell. She could easily pin Bayley once again to earn the shot that would not create any backlash, either. That did not turn out to be the case as Banks stood tall. But The Four-Horsewomen of WWE will battle in a match, next week. So Flair still has a chance to grab a title shot if she can pick up a big win over Bayley.
