WWE Raw Preview (08/04/19)-Wrestlemania Fallout, New Champions’ Era Begins

Wrestlemania 35 has passed by making history by all means. Careers came to an end, returns happened and most importantly, we received new champions. Seth Rollins conquered the beast incarnate to become the new Universal Champion. The sweetest part of the ‘show of shows’ was when Becky Lynch picked up the main event win to become a dual champion.

So what is in store for her when WWE Raw airs tonight? Will Brock Lesnar come back hunting for his title after Wrestlemania 35? We’ll find out when the show airs from New York. Also, there will be fallouts waiting on WWE Raw on multiple storylines including the one featuring Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. We should also learn the future of the Intercontinental, as well as the WWE Raw tag team titles as tonight’s show, emanates from the Barclays Center.

Becky Lynch kicks off WWE Raw marking the beginning of a new era where she is a dual champion. It is the first time in the WWE history that superstar is Raw and Smackdown women’s champion at the same time. The question remains will she continuing defending the two titles from now onwards. Or WWE will unify the championships? Moreover, who will face Becky Lynch for those championships?

Speaking of new challenges, Ronda Rousey comes into the context, automatically. She should get a rematch for the WWE Raw women’s championship although this is not mandatory anymore. But will we see her in actions now that Wrestlemania 35 has been over? We wonder whether she will confirm the hiatus that is under speculation for a long time.

We also received a new Universal Champion on WWE Raw as Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. This is a feel-good moment for the WWE Universe as they will get to see the prime title regularly on the flagship show. With Seth Rollins being a fighting champion, he will look forward to defending it against anybody present on the roster. So who will step up to the challenge in a state where we don’t expect Brock Lesnar to be present on WWE Raw.

Roman Reigns picked up a big win at Wrestlemania 35. But as hinted on WWE.com, Drew McIntyre will not stop hunting him down,

“Don’t expect The Scottish Psychopath to go away quietly, however. Despite falling short, McIntyre relentlessly pummeled Reigns for much of the contest. And let’s not forget how he spent the past several months dominating the Raw roster, including his victories over Reigns’ Shield brothers, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. How will McIntyre respond to his loss at WrestleMania, and will Roman Reigns see it coming when he does?”

This almost confirms that the feud between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre will continue on WWE Raw. The Scottish Psychopath should continue showing the mean streak to floor the Big Dog, once again. He is the man on a mission who may not stop after picking up a huge win against the franchise player.

We also crowned new champions in the mid-card title capacity over on WWE Raw. Finn Balor became the new Intercontinental Champion and he is likely to continue the feud with Lashley as hinted by Lio Rush on Twitter. On the other hand, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins became the new WWE Raw tag team champions at Wrestlemania 35. But we don’t expect to see them as the champions for a long time. Maybe a rematch with The Revival will force them to drop the belts on the very next night.
