WWE has recently updated their banners for both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. The superstars selected from for the posters indicate who’d be running the two shows in months to follow and it seems the names with future potentials, have been selected. For Raw, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre continue to be the centerpiece of attention being the two top names.
Angel Garza is the newest addition to the Raw poster that is pretty interesting. As reported by wwfoldschool.com, WWE officials see ‘big things’ in the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion who is now being managed by Zelina Vega alongside former United States Champion Andrade. WWE seems to be interested in pushing up Garza on the Raw roster. This could be the reason why he picked up a big win over former Universal Champion Kevin Owens on last week’s RAW.
WWE is said to have ‘indirectly’ confirmed the report of Garza’s push on Raw, as he was added to the RAW banner on WWE’s website. While speaking with Busted Open podcast hosted by Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca, Zelina Vega compared Garza with legendary Eddie Guerrero,
“Angel is such a force to be reckoned with. He’s very independent and like a new puppy. He’s such a great mind. I’ve always loved Eddie Guerrero, when I look at people just solely on who reminds me of him, Angel does that when it comes to personality and Andrade does that with his work wrestling wise.”
It should be mentioned that the two names removed from the latest Raw banner were Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch. There’s no confirmation on when Lesnar will be back whereas Lynch will only be back on the scene after a long time. She is pregnant with fiancée Seth Rollins and due for the month of December. So she won’t be on Raw for the rest of 2020. The new Raw Women’s Champion Asuka replaced her on the poster.
As for SmackDown, the banner on WWE’s website also got updated. The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman are standing at the center of it. Roman Reigns is no longer standing in the middle as he’s in an indefinite hiatus from the company. So the face of the SmackDown brand was moved to the right side.
The latest addition to the SmackDown poster is 2020 Money In The Bank winner Otis who is set to become the future world champion. Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston were removed from the SmackDown poster. From the women’s division, the champion Bayley is in the middle whereas Lacey Evans and Sasha Banks got added by her side. This indicates that the title picture should mostly revolve around these three names.
