As per prior updates, some major matches were rumored to be added into the WWE TLC 2019 match card, at the very last moment. However, that was not the case as WWE used only seven matches to get past through the last PPV of the year as well as this entire decade.
Update On Injured WWE Raw Superstars From 2019 TLC PPV
If the reports are to go by then at least two of them have been saved for the next event in line in January 2020, Royal Rumble.
Impressive Streak Of John Cena Broken On 2019 WWE TLC PPV
According to reports of the Wrestling Observer, the following two matches were originally planned for WWE TLC 2019. But with the least storyline progression, both of the below-mentioned matches were saved for Royal Rumble 2020 PPV by the WWE officials:
– Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship
– Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
As reported earlier, Strowman vs. Nakamura has been rumored to kick off for a long time over the Intercontinental Championship. But it had to be scrapped as the potential challenger is suffering from some back issues.
As a result, he’s taking some time off to heal it off. WWE never released any official statement regarding the monster’s ongoing injury issues. But he should be back in the context without much delay.
As for the SmackDown Women’s Championship feud, Lacey Evans is to earn the contender’s spot. Also, the rivalry has not reached a state to culminate in a championship match of good caliber.
Hence, WWE officials thought it would be too early to book this match coming out of Survivor Series, so they changed their minds.
Moving forward, Lacey would continue gunning for the title, though. Who knows whether this could eventually hand her the belt as the creative team is pretty high on her talent.

These two were not the only matches to be scrapped off the WWE TLC card. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles was pushed back into last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw as to have a huge marquee match on the card.
Also, Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins was also saved for a potential later date as the latter one suffered a broken pinky finger.
