Tonight’s Smackdown begins the countdown for next week’s special edition that airs from Madison Square Garden. The storylines knitted will have some big fallouts that will see culminations, next week. The focus would remain on the ongoing rivalry between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. The latter one still owes an apology after wrongly accusing Bryan of life-threatening attacks.

King Of The Ring Tournament Semifinal Matchups Set For Next Week

King of the Ring tournament 2019 edition quarterfinals comes to an end tonight with two incredible matches. Two young superstars will go to toe-to-toe to cement their spots at the semifinal of the event. Also, the WWE Champion will look forward to firing back at the Apex Predator seeking retribution. All of these and more should be waiting when Smackdown comes live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

Last week on Smackdown, Daniel Bryan demanded an apology from Roman Reigns since the accusations were on him and Rowan for the life-threatening attacks. He refused to admit the same and presented a Rowan lookalike to blame on. But the camera footages clearly showed that it was Rowan who purposefully committed the attack.

However, Daniel Bryan still stated that he knew nothing about his buddy doing these sinful acts. Hence, he still owes an apology from Roman Reigns on Smackdown,

“Roman Reigns speared me last week and I understand his frustration. I know how it looks. I know a lot of people don’t like me and I know I seem guilty by association, but that doesn’t make me a liar. Erick Rowan is the one to blame and I have had nothing to do with this. Therefore, I still deserve an apology from Roman Reigns.”

Now Daniel Bryan will not get what he is demanding after Roman Reigns caught Rowan red-handed. Rather, it might be turn, for Bryan to let know that he was the brain behind these attacks to set up the much-anticipated match that we expected to happen at Summerslam. Now this bout should become official for the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event.

The bad blood between Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton is growing day by day as the rivalry continues on Smackdown. It is now official that these two will collide over the WWE Championship at Clash of Champions. The challenger is having the advantage as of right now after getting The Revival as his helping hand. He downed Kofi with RKOs to goad about the fact that the champ can’t beat him. Could Kofi turn the momentums in his favor, heading into tonight? We’ll find the answers when the show airs.

King of the Ring tournament continues on Smackdown with the quarterfinal lineups which is ending tonight paving way for the semi-final. In one of the matches, Ali will take on Elias that promises to be a solid match. The two young superstars should steal the show as it would be an organic babyface vs. heel superstar match. As for the winner, Elias should pick up the win by coming with some villainous antics. Even Shane McMahon could turn up to help him win in this round.

The other match of King of the Ring tournament quarterfinal will feature a fresh contest between Andrade and Chad Gable. El-Idolo is one of the favorites to win the entire tourney and become the next king from the very beginning. This makes him the obvious favorite to come out on top. Gable, on the other hand, will suffer a pinfall loss and go back to re-form the tag team with Shelton Benjamin, as per recent updates.

In the Smackdown women’s championship scenario, the title-holder has the upper-hand over the challenger. The champion, Bayley had some back to back wins in recent weeks alongside a heel-turn that keeps her favorite heading into the title defense at Clash of Champions. But Charlotte Flair must be desperate to win back the title on the PPV that takes place in her hometown. So we hope she will make a statement via some heel antics.

In the Intercontinental title picture, Shinsuke Nakamura will now have to defend against The Miz at Clash of Champions. With Sami Zayn, in his corner, the champion delivered a couple of blindside attacks to the Hollywood A-lister on two consecutive Smackdown shows. So can Miz even the odds tonight finding a partner or the heel duo will prevail, once again? We’ll have to find out when the show airs on tonight from Norfolk, Virginia.
