Matt Riddle sat down for an interview with Michael Cole to open SmackDown where he was talking about not wearing shoes. King Baron Corbin came out to interrupt and started insulting him to tease a match against him. But eventually, John Morrison came out as Corbin wanted him to face Riddle in the first match of the night.

So Morrison vs Riddle went down on SmackDown where Riddle was in control delivering a Powerbomb followed by a Knee to the face. The Miz and Corbin tried to provide a distraction but Riddle countered with a roll-up for the win. AJ Styles attacked Riddle after the match but Drew Gulak made the save.
