WWE may be bringing back Tribute To The Troops on TV in its usual slot of December. If the reports are true then the show dedicated to the real heroes of the USA nation will be airing on the WWE Network or USA Network, next month.
In recent times, there has been a lot of internal talk about bringing back the Tribute To The Troops TV special over the last week, according to the reports of PWInsider. There’s no confirmation on when or where the 2020 TTTT special would air from. But it should be airing sometime in December.

WWE Tribute To The Troops Event Returning In 2020
WWE hosted Tribute To The Troops on a yearly basis, as a TV special since the year, December 2003. For some reason, WWE gave it a miss in 2019. WWE did tape matches and segments, though with top Superstars and Marines last December at the Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, promoting it as the 17th annual TTTT special. But it didn’t air on TV. It should be noted that it was the first time that the most patriotic show of the year was taped at a Marine Base.

As for the broadcasting, WWE aired Tribute To The Troops on either UPN, NBC, or the USA Network since 2003. There were rumors to air the show, possibly on the WWE Network they never did so. The taping footages were just released in North Carolina for local cable networks, only. It was quite astonishing that WWE and the USA Network passed on the show from airing as it usually draws more than 1 million viewers even during the holiday season. Plus, it also reflects the great work WWE offers to the community of the USA.
Tribute The Troops specials have always been an attraction for the audience but there’re still some uncertainties around the show considering the current pandemic situation. Apart from shows in the USA, WWE has also held the show, overseas. They have set up such shows in Afghanistan and Iraq while the remaining years, they picked bases within the United States.
We will have to see whether WWE releases any official statement regarding the most patriotic show of the year which is considered to be Christmas-time specials in the past. For now, they’d have to be focused on delivering a successful Survivor Series 2020 edition that also has The Undertaker’s Final Farewell on the card.
