AEW All In 2023 has been touted to be the biggest professional wrestling event in the history of the United Kingdom. If recent reports are any indications then WWE got this early call about hosting a show at the venue of the PPV, Wembley Stadium but they simply passed on the opportunity.
While efforts have been noticed to set up a stacked card for AEW All In 2023 on the company’s part, some fans also believe that the show could end up being one that won’t be having enough star power. After all, more than 80000 fans are expected to be enjoying the event where CM Punk appears to be the biggest name on the card.
That certainly fuels up speculations about some pleasant surprises at AEW All In 2023 and the legendary Edge appears to be one of those names. The rated R Superstar revealed that his Friday Night SmackDown match against Sheamus was the final match of his current WWE contract. This news also fueled up rumors about Edge possibly going to AEW, leaving the WWE.
Edge’s actual WWE contract to be over after AEW All In 2023
Many believed that AEW All In 2023 would be a perfect launch pad for the former world champion which isn’t the case. PWInsider reported that internal word in WWE is that Edge’s deal with the company isn’t up until October. This timespan should also give WWE and Edge more time to come to terms for a new deal which is yet to be signed,
“The word backstage at Smackdown last night was that Copeland’s actual WWE deal is expected to expire in October. That was based on comments Copeland made locally on a sports radio station this week in Toronto as well as comments made backstage.”
Summer Rae And Lana Attended Dynamite August 16 Episode To Fuel Up AEW Arrival Rumors
Since Edge’s original deal is yet to expire, he can’t be able to attend AEW All In 2023 PPV in the United Kingdom as a surprise attendance. While WWE and Edge would still have time to negotiate a new deal, things could change with Endeavor officially acquiring things in the WWE in the second half of this year.
Only time will tell how the Master Manipulator chooses to go forward in his career. While an appearance at AEW All In 2023 seems unlikely, he won’t be dragging his career at the age of almost 50. Whether or not he’s arriving in the AEW, he’ll wrap up things in his career within next summer.
