Formerly known as Edge in WWE, made his AEW debut at WrestleDream 2023 and now he’s set for action on AEW Dynamite. The WWE Hall of Famer spoke to the media following the PPV, where it was revealed that he will make his in-ring debut for Tony Khan’s company on the October 10 edition of AEW’s flagship show.
During the post-WrestleDream 2023 media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan stated that Adam Copeland will be wrestling a full-time schedule. It was also affirmed that he will be making regular appearances on AEW Dynamite and Collision episodes unlike continuing in the WWE in a limited schedule.
“Something that got me even more excited about Adam being here is, this is full-time. Adam’s going to be with us every week, he’s going to wrestle, he’s a full-time part of the AEW roster,” said Khan. “I think it’s been a long time since we’ve seen Adam Copeland wrestle as much and at the level.”

AEW Dynamite: Luchasauras to face Edge in the latter’s AEW debut match
Khan then confirmed Copeland’s appearance on this upcoming episode of Collision while he also noted that the legendary wrestler will face Luchasauras in a match on the October 10 edition of AEW Dynamite,
“I got the greatest birthday present in the world because the newest member of the AEW roster, ‘The Rated-R Superstar,’ has requested a match on October 10 in Kansas City. And we got a little preview of that action tonight on WrestleDream, based on your request, it’s going to be Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus on Tuesday, October 10 in Kansas City.”

This match on AEW Dynamite was booked as an aftermath of what happened during Copeland’s debut in AEW. It happened after the main event where Christian Cage (c) defeated Darby Allin in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Match to retain the TNT Championship with the score being 2-1 in his favor.
After the match, Christian and Nick kept on attacking Darby which led to Sting coming out to make the save. But Luchasaurus joined the two heels to deliver an assault on the veteran. Christian was about to hit the Con-Chair-To when the lights went out and out came WWE Hall of Famer Edge in his Metalingus theme song to send the fans into a frenzy.
Aligning with Sting and Darby, Copeland put away Luchasauras and Wayne with two vicious Spears which sets up this first-time encounter on AEW Dynamite. With Copeland’s full-time many more unthinkable bouts are likely going to happen in the future.
