Despite being one of the regular names on AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy has never been able to win a singles title in his career. The fact changed, last night in AEW one of the most popular and reliable wrestlers on the AEW roster was finally able to call himself a champion as he finally got the first major singles title win of his AEW career.
In their third one-on-one bout, Orange Cassidy finally got to upstage PAC in the main event match of October 12 AEW Dynamite. After connecting with two Orange Punch finishers, Cassidy was able to pin PAC to win the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. As noted above, this marked his first championship win cum maiden major win in the company.

AEW Dynamite: Second-ever All Atlantic Champion crowned
With his victory on AEW Dynamite, Cassidy became the second-only All-Atlantic Champion in AEW history marking the end of PAC’s inaugural 108-day reign with the belt. PAC won the mid-card gold in a four-way match at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June also featuring Miro, Malakai Black, and NJPW wrestler Clark Connors.
Before competing in the main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite, Cassidy had previously competed for the AEW World Championship in a triple threat match against Kenny Omega and PAC at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2021. He also faced PAC and the Lucha Brothers for the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Best Friends.
Moving on, Cassidy also challenged for the TNT Championship on several occasions against the likes of Cody Rhodes, Brodie Lee, and Wardlow, only to come up short.
Cassidy and PAC have been involved in a stretched feud with their first encounter in the ring happening at the Revolution pay-per-view in 2020. Their second match took place for the All-Atlantic Championship last month on the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite. Cassidy came up short on both that occasions. PAC then defended his All-Atlantic Championship against Cassidy’s Best Friends stablemate Trent Beretta during the AEW Battle of the Belts IV special.
