MJF volunteered to wrestle on his own against two youngsters of All Elite Wrestling to defend his ROH tag team titles at AEW WrestleDream 2023. By the end of this tough job at hand, he not only remained successful but also paid homage to his injured tag partner Adam Cole.
At AEW WrestleDream 2023, AEW World Champion and ROH World Tag Team Champion MJF successfully defended his ROH Tag Team Titles against The Righteous in a handicap match. MJF countered the mean antics thrown by Vincent and Dutch throughout the match and applied some of his own underhanded tactics to retain.

Heading into AEW WrestleDream 2023, Adam Cole suffered an injury with a broken ankle and he nearly relinquished the tag titles on Dynamite before MJF declared that he wanted to solely defend them. Unless MJF finds a replacement, he will continue to defend the tag gold in handicap matches while also remaining the reigning and defending AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
Adam Cole suffered the injury at AEW Grand Slam in Queens, New York while making a hurried jump from the ramp on his way to cheer for MJF in his AEW Champion title defense against Samoa Joe. Reports were out that Cole and MJF were already scheduled to face The Righteous at AEW WrestleDream 2023 but then Cole was out with the injury.

Also, at the latest bygone PPV event conducted by AEW, The Young Bucks were able to defeat Orange Cassidy and HOOK, The Gunn Club, and The Lucha Bros which earned them a future shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The team will face FTR who has defeated Aussie Open, to retain their AEW tag titles match later in the night at AEW WrestleDream 2023.
With that, the history will repeat itself for the two most decorated tag teams in AEW. Previously, FTR defeated The Young Bucks at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in August in a solid encounter. Meanwhile, it appears that Rey Fenix suffered an injury toward the middle of the contest at AEW WrestleDream 2023 as he was absent from the rest of the match.
It should also be noted that The Bucks’ Nick Jackson defeated Claudio Castagnoli and Brian Cage to earn a match against AEW International Champion Fenix. But there are doubts regarding the match since Fenix has been dealing with an injury since AEW WrestleDream 2023.
