Asuka digested a stiff kick into the face, a couple of weeks ago that might put WWE’s WrestleMania plans in full jeopardy. That kick to the face from Shayna Baszler on RAW is reportedly keeping the red brand’s Women’s Champion away from action. A broken tooth was the least she could’ve expected at this point but then again it has converted into something fatal.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Asuka is out of action with a concussion. Since she is sidelined and WWE never booked her in an angle, there’s jeopardy with her status. She could just be fine, this week, but concussion problems are something that WWE wants to handle with much sensitivity. So the road to WrestleMania 37 for the champion could be bumpy.

At this point, it could be hard to tell whether she gets back to action this week or may not be cleared for a long time. Ringside News was the first to mention that Asuka is out of action. They have also added at that point that she might have been suffering from a concussion, which has now been confirmed by WON. So a Raw Women’s title defense is uncertain, at this point.

Asuka could miss Wrestlemania 37 due to injury
Asuka teamed up with Charlotte Flair and squared off against the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in a non-title match. The regular tag team match’s final moments saw Asuka putting her armbar on Jax, but Shayna Baszler stopped the attempt with a hard kick to Asuka’s face after running in from the apron.
As seen in the footage, Asuka ended up losing one of her teeth and she was in a lot of pain. She covered her mouth for the entire time after the match was over. Baszler also realized that she hurt the Women’s Champion for legit and she immediately checked on her. The team of The Queen and the Empress of Tomorrow lost the match which also began a rift between the two.
After the end of the show, Charly Caruso mentioned the injury on RAW Talk. Later, Charlotte Flair also pointed out the same, the next week with a video presentation while it was clearly shown that the champion’s tooth was flying around the ring. Flair also challenged her former tag team partner for a title match at WrestleMania 37 but the match is still in jeopardy given the injury context.
