Becky Lynch can now call herself a seven-time women’s champion in the WWE courtesy of the latest win that she secured on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. After Rhea Ripley got injured a couple of weeks ago, the women’s world champion had to be vacated and WWE fulfilled that spot by hosting a battle royal, last night.
The performers in that battle royal from the main event spot on Raw were Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, Natalya Neidhart, Nia Jax, Maxxine Dupri, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler and Ivy Nile with the winner becoming the new WWE Women’s World Champion.

In an interesting spot from the match, Natalya Neidhart eliminated Chelsea Green, but the referee didn’t see it and she got back into the match. The final five participants in the match were Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Liv Morgan, Zoey Stark, and Becky Lynch but the latter was out of the match for a long time after Nia put her through a table.
Becky Lynch eliminated Liv Morgan to become the new Women’s World Champion
After Stark and Baszler were taken out of the equation, Jax and Morgan thought they were the last two in the match, but Becky Lynch crawled back into the ring and put up a collaborative effort with Morgan to take Nia out of the match. Morgan nailed a Codebreaker, but it was eventually reversed with the Manhandle Slam as her adversary went on to become the WWE Women’s World Champion.

As mentioned above, Becky Lynch has thus become an overall seven-time women’s champion in the WWE. She previously held the SmackDown Women’s title on four occasions, and the Raw Women’s title twice. She also was the only woman to have captured both the title simultaneously by winning the main event of Wrestlemania 35 in 2019.
In the fall of 2023, Becky Lynch also got to capture the NXT Women’s Championship but WWE doesn’t recognize the NXT titles as World Championships and hence this one wasn’t counted. While this latest title win closed out Raw on a happy note, the internet was willing to see someone else become a champion as a rare backlash was also seen against THE MAN.
