Hulk Hogan may be a superhero for the pro-wrestling fans but not everyone is his fan. It includes the superstar who is the most discussed around the internet wrestling community, CM Punk.
He never was the fan of the Hulkster and now that he has met him in person, the disliking even grew bigger.
CM Punk to get a lucrative WWE deal?
While speaking to Windy City Live, CM Punk stated that while growing up, his favorite wrestler has always been “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
Three big returns on SmackDown
It was then when he was asked about Hulk Hogan not being Punk’s favorite and if there’s a reason behind it.
CM Punk’s Wrestlemania 36 status revealed
The Chicago native is no stranger on sharing his opinion and it was no exception that he gave a tough reply,
“I was never a Hogan guy, I’ve met him and like him even less now. F*ck him.”
It was interesting to hear such a negative reaction about Hulk Hogan who is said to be one of the greatest that this business has to offer.
Perhaps, FOX would now consider booking a confrontation between Hogan and CM Punk someday to get a huge viewership.
However, CM Punk would definitely be not the only one to have a bitter feeling about Hulk Hogan following the racism controversy that once removed him from all sorts of associations in WWE.
Although he was able to prove himself not to be the guilty, a certain backlash still remains around the legend. The comments from CM Punk may have been a reflection of the same.
Speaking of Punk, another WWE legend had some praising words for him. While speaking to State of Combat podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin addressed CM Punk potentially returning to WWE.
He thinks that it would be a ‘breath of fresh air’ in the WWE if it ever happens
“Just the fact that he returned to be doing business with WWE I love because I know they split up on bad terms and now they are back in business together, CM Punk was a lights-out pro wrestler; great promos, great work, great talent, so to have him back into the fold obviously they ironed whatever they needed to iron out and both sides are happy.”
“It’s great to have CM Punk back in the pro wrestling/sports entertainment business. I think it’s a breath of fresh air because the guy brings in a great perspective, great insights, great opinion on all things sports entertainment.” (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
