Former WWE Champion CM Punk didn’t show any intention of coming back to the WWE although it has been a matter of discussion among the fans, all the time. But it seems, he is still interested in performing in one more match in the company and it’d be against the franchise player of the WWE brand, Roman Reigns.
As always, the Cult of Personality revealed this in his trademark sarcastic style. CM Punk was seen interacting with fans, in recent times, through fans’ Q&A session on Twitter. One of the fans asked about the possibility of headlining WrestleMania 37 against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

CM Punk sarcastically noted that he’d be down doing a match with The Tribal Chief of the WWE Universe but this match would be better off as the opening contest of the show rather than the main event. He mentioned how the show is terribly long and he has no intention to wait for the final match,
“I’d do opening match. That show is 67 hours long,” tweeted CM Punk, taking a dig at the duration of WrestleMania in recent years.
Earlier this year, the 36th edition of the show was dragged even longer which was held over two nights. For the first time, WWE scheduled 18 total matches into the packed card including two pre-show contests. Many do believe that the show of shows isn’t exclusive anymore for competition.

It was during the Q&A session that CM Punk was also asked to name the one dream opponent he never had the opportunity to face in the WWE, during his entire career. His short reply was “Snake Man Steve Austin,” who is a five-time world champion and a Hall of Famer in WWE. Punk, who’s just turned 42 in late October, also mentioned in the session that he wants to write his autobiography in the future.

CM Punk did have a short feud with Roman Reigns and his Shield buddies, seven years ago, following their debut in the WWE. While Reigns gradually become the face of the brand, the Second City Savior opted to leave the company due to differences of opinions.
Roman Reigns was a recent guest on the Loaded Management podcast while he clearly mentioned how he doesn’t like CM Punk, at all. However, he won’t back down from competing in a match with him as long as the fans are willing to see it.
“I don’t like the guy,” Roman Reigns stated of CM Punk. “I don’t know many people who do. I just don’t know many who do, but I’m willing to put business first and make really good content if that’s the case. He’d probably have to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right, but if he’s willing and the fans and audience are going to like it and be into it, then most likely I’m going to be into it.”
