There’s a certain rumor available in the professional wrestling circuit around Shane McMahon and Triple H as these two perhaps don’t get along well. The primary belief is that Vince McMahon would choose his son-in-law as his successor in the WWE while Shane will be on the sideline. He is dubbed as the Prodigal Son of the WWE, anyway. So the question is there any heat present in the WWE?
WWE Executive Bruce Prichard has been working in the company for the past several years who is well aware of the backstage happening. He is one of the very close persons with whom Vince McMahon loves to work with. He recently provided clarification on the supposed sour relationship of Triple H and Shane McMahon. Apparently, this is a wild rumor by all means.
Shane McMahon Reportedly Wrestling A Match At WWE WrestleMania 37
While speaking on a recent episode of his Something To Wrestle With Podcast, Bruce Prichard reflected on Shane McMahon’s time in the professional wrestling business. Host Conrad Thompson brought up rumors that there is legitimate heat between Vince’s son and Triple H as this gossip has been circulating for so many years.
Prichard dismissed all those speculations who also used a quote from Eric Bischoff in order to prove the close relationship between Shane McMahon, Triple H, and the entire McMahon family. Prichard also added that Shane-O-Mac deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, down the road.
Shane McMahon Salary: WWE Head-Honcho’s Earning Details
“Never seen it [animosity between Shane McMahon and Triple H]. Eric Bischoff, his first night in… you should ask Eric this question because it always sticks with me and I’ve always kind of pointed to it because it was a very cool observation.”
“You had Vince, Steph, Hunter [Triple H], and Shane, and just the genuine love, and his first night in, he saw it and he was like, ‘Wow, you know, no matter what anybody says about anybody else, when you have that kind of love of your family… and you’re cool with everything, then you can’t be that bad of a person.’”
Reason Shane McMahon opted to leave WWE
Vince McMahon built this huge empire known as WWE and his children grew up around this. But he hasn’t arranged well paydays for his son and daughter, always. Shane McMahon found better work and opted to leave by the end of the 2000s that loosened his connection with the company, to a big extent.
While speaking on his podcast, Prichard revealed a time when Shane McMahon quit WWE during his teenage years. He wasn’t satisfied with the amount of money WWE was offering where he had an office job. This caused him to seek employment outside the company and Vince had no problem releasing his son, either.
“Well, Shane was like, ‘Well, f*ck this, and Shane went to the guy that was in charge of the bricklaying, the masonry on Vince’s house, and said, ‘Hey, what do you pay?’ The guy paid, I don’t know, 10, 12 bucks an hour, which was more than he would have been making at the office… he had overtime and all this other stuff. Shane was like, ‘hey, this guy will give me this.’ Vince was like, ‘Congratulations, you’ve got a new job.’”
Shane McMahon returned to WWE in 2016 making a ton of attention, and he has made relatively a lot more money, since then. For now, he is waiting to be seen in action after the cancellation of RAW Underground.
