Lana is someone who loves to experiment with her looks, no matter what. She is a bombshell by all means since the beginning, on WWE Raw, who doesn’t shy down from flaunting her killer curves. At the same time, she wants to portray different kinds of hairstyles in and outside of the squared circle. But during her WWE days, it wasn’t so easy altering her looks without permission.
As we all know by now, WWE aka Vince McMahon is pretty much strict about their superstars’ specific looks. Unless and until he approves something, it’s tough to show up on live TV with changed looks. After all, WWE runs programs targeting a global audience and hence they have to keep in mind every small aspect. Lana also experienced something similar when she was yet to be released by the WWE.

Recently, the superstar with the real name CJ Perry appeared at a Legends of the Ring convention in Iselin, New Jersey alongside plenty of former WWE Divas. While chatting up with the fans during the East Coast Autograph Auctions virtual signing, Lana revealed there were several occasions when she wanted to show up in WWE with a change-up in looks. But the higher-ups were obviously not willing to approve that look.

Lana revealed her experience while being in WWE
“I showed up with blue – colored my hair blue. It was like a shampoo and I was bored,” Lana recalled. “I was probably going through an identity crisis again. So I dye my hair blue and Michael Hayes actually walked up to me. He’s like, ‘What are you doing?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. It matches my costume.’ He’s like, ‘No, no, no, no, no!’ And then I showed up with blonde hair the next day, he’s like, ‘Ah, you look great.’”
“So, there you go and then I also got a call from Vince [McMahon] about the blue hair, so I had to be blonde forever. Even when I went brown. Not even brown, I had like light brown hair and I wore my hair — what I did for Royal Rumble last year. I got a call, I was told, ‘That wasn’t Lana’ and I had to put my hair in a pony, I had to go lighter and I couldn’t wear the color gold. I had to wear the color pink only. I had to wear my hair in a pony, and I had like little boy cut shorts and they were like, ‘No, no. You have to wear the leotard,’” Lana continued. (quotes courtesy POST Wrestling)
As noted above, this was the same convention where some more former WWE Superstars had meet-and-greet sessions with professional wrestling fans. Former ECW Extreme Expose – Kelly Kelly, Brooke Adams, and Layla were major attention for the show while The IIconics and Emma were also in attendance alongside Lana.
The former Ravishing Russian had also crossed paths with the AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara at a Legends of the Ring convention in New Jersey. She showed some anger towards Guevara for winning the title from her husband, Miro. Lana was also asked by the fans about potential joining to AEW to which she simply threw a tease rather than coming up with something specific.
