Several new matches and a new participant have been announced, last night for Impact’s Wrestling promotion’s next pay-per-view, Slammiversary 2022. This is also the biggest PPV event in the promotion’s yearly calendar.

The first new match announced for Slammiversary 2022 is a Monster’s Ball match between Moose and Sami Callihan. Callihan reacted to the match on social media, noting how it will be his first match in nine months. Going by the name, the match will be a hardcore outing for the two top Impact Superstars.

Impact Slammiversary 2022: Monster’s Ball Match Announced; Updated Card 1

Impact Digital Media Champion Rich Swann (also former WWE Cruiserweight Champion) is set to defend his title against Brian Myers (fka Curt Hawkins in WWE ) at Slammiversary 2022. Swann won the Digital Media title from Matt Cardona during last month’s Wrestling Revolver Vegas Vacation event and this marks his first PPV title defense on Impact programming.

Also, during this week’s Impact on AXS TV, Alex Zayne was added to the Ultimate X match for the X-Division Championship at Slammiversary 2022. Thus, Zayne joins the already announced lineup featuring “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Trey Miguel, Kenny King, Jack Evans, and the current X-Division Champion Ace Austin.

Apart from these matches, Impact World Championship and Tag Team Championship matches have already been declared for Slammiversary 2022. Additionally, a Queen of the Mountain match will also go down from the Impact Knockouts division.

Impact Slammiversary 2022 is set for June 19, celebrating the promotion’s 20th anniversary from the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. This comes as the first NWA-TNA pay-per-view took place on June 19, 2002. The updated card for the PPV event after last night stands as follows,
