Championships and John Cena are synonymous in the WWE. After all, the latter is a sixteen-time world champion who might go on to break the record of Ric Flair, down the road. It’s only fitting for the company to honor him by dedicating a championship to his name.
The entire month of June was dedicated to John Cena as the long celebration marked his 20th anniversary with the company. WWE thoroughly promoted social media posts, and celebratory merchandise, and then culminated in the celebration by dedicating an episode of Raw this past Monday. WWE is a pro on throwing celebrations and they have literally pulled out all the stops for the legendary superstar.

Following his big return on Raw, a special legacy championship inspired by John Cena will be available on WWEShop.com by the end of July. Only 500 of said belts will be made available and hence fans will need to pre-book the title if they want to be part of the Doctor of Thuganomics experience.
The news was broken during WWE’s The Bump on Youtube. As seen in a video, the belt will be presented in a “Word Life” lock chain replica box that’s similar to the chain that John Cena used to wear around his neck during the early years in the WWE. The box has a window in the back that can be opened where the title can be showcased.

Also, a wrist sweatband set will come with the title that has John Cena’s signature phrases carved on them, including, “Never give up”, “HLR (Hustle, Loyalty, Respect)”, and “U can’t C me” taglines. The frame of Cena giving a salute in front of a “20 Years” logo will be there in the cover pack made of cloth.
The championship belt will have 16 jewels surrounding the center plate to declare the fact that John Cena is a 16-time world heavyweight champion in his career. There will also be different side plates to remind different gimmicks played by the Cenation Leader, over the years.
The center plate of the custom title will be spinning to signify the spinning WWE Championship and United States Championships John Cena introduced during his title reigns. Red, white, and blue colors will be available in the belt since the franchise player is a supporter of USA troops.
