It appears that John Cena won’t be handed out opportunities to get that title shot but rather he would earn that on his own. John Cena becoming Mr. Money in the bank 2021?
The report added that WWE officials are currently going with the idea of John Cena becoming Mr. Money In The Bank for the second time in his career. He would then demanding a Title match against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, by claiming an advance cash-in. Thus, Reigns vs. Cena could go down for the second time in WWE history.
WWE writers also feel that the Money In The Bank contract should be in the scenario for an entire year, and if that is the case then Cena may earn his Title match in some other way. These are all just rumors at this point since WWE hasn’t addressed any of these, to date. Also, the sixteen-time world champion has to be in in-ring shape to be back in action.
Previously, John Cena won the Money in the Bank briefcase in the year 2012 and announced an advance cash-in against the then WWE Champion CM Punk on the Raw 100 episode. He was the first WWE superstar in MITB history to lose that title opportunity after Big Show interfered and disqualified that title match.
