Lana managed to stay in the spotlight during her time in the WWE, no matter what. She never had the best in-ring skills given that she didn’t come from any wrestling background in the first place. However, when it came to the entertainment aspect of the company, she delivered to the fullest.
The Ravishing Russian was eventually let go from the company last year because of her lucrative contract. It was in November 2021 that she took to social media to reveal the new multi-year agreement with the WWE. But this deal that also allowed her to get involved in outside projects, appeared to be the sole reason behind her departure.

Down the road, Lana would admittedly want to work in the AEW but that could be a long-term story. As of this writing, she is still very fond of the memories that she created in the WWE. Apparently, the desire of becoming a wrestler was always within herself as she wanted to take bumps just like any other wrestler.
Her husband, Rusev fka Miro was overprotective of her as he was unwilling to let her take a bump or go through a table, to be specific. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Lana revealed that both Miro and Vince McMahon rejected her idea to go through a table on multiple occasions.

However, Lana’s willpower won in the end and she created a record on going through a table on WWE programming. During her feud with Nia Jax, the behemoth superstar continued to put her rival through the tables on a weekly basis.
“I actually begged for it. I’m not even kidding. I wanted to go through a table for a really long time, and Miro was like, ‘Absolutely not!’ He’s like, ‘Do you want to die?’ And I’m like, ‘No, but I wanna go through a table!’ I pitched so many times for me to go through a table,” Lana stated.
“When we had that story with Bobby Lashley. I pitched when we had that match with Liv. He was with Liv and I was with Bobby. I’m like, ‘You superkick Bobby, he moves out of the way, you superkick me in the face, and we’re gonna have a table! I can go through a table!’ But, Vince and Miro shut that down, first Miro shut that down.”
Since her WWE release, Lana has been using the real name CJ Perry on social media. She has been part of a variety of projects to keep herself busy. She does want to be back in action in the near future due to her love for professional wrestling. There’s no update available, though whether WWE is interested to bring her back or not.
