The process to fill up the fray for Money in the Bank 2023, the next big pay-per-view event outing for the WWE has kicked off this week on Raw. Two qualifying matches went down on the show where two men’s division match participants progressed to the ever-opportunistic ladder match.
In the first Money in the Bank 2023 qualifying match on Raw during the May 29 episode, Ricochet defeated The Miz to become the first participant in the upcoming ladder match. Ricochet solidified his win with a Shooting Star Press finisher which could be touted as a solid win over the former WWE Champion and a former two-time MITB contract holder.
In the second qualifying match on Raw, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Bronson Reed via his Kinshasa finisher to move into the opportunistic matchup. With six participants competing in the upcoming ladder match, three names each from Raw and Smackdown will be seen in it. Hence, one more name from the red brand will have the chance to go into the Money in the Bank 2023 mix.
