John Cena is one of the biggest superstars in the world of the professional wrestling industry who also transitioned to become a massive entertainer in Hollywood. Trying to go big in the WWE, he joined the DCEU in The Suicide Squad as the Peacemaker character. The film did a great performance and the better thing was that the WWE Superstars manage to expand the reach of his character.
John Cena got a spin-off series from HBO Max, dedicated to the Peacemaker character. The first season directed by James Gunn turned out to be a major hit as the fans loved the chaos that came through the franchise character. He was also nominated for an award for his role from the Hollywood Critics Association.

The veteran pro-wrestling journalist also added that the filming schedule of Peacemaker season 2 is the reason why John Cena didn’t tease a match for SummerSlam during his latest appearance on Monday Night Raw when the company was celebrating his 20th anniversary.
Peacemaker has become one of the strongest shows that the DCEU has launched and there’s a reason that the profitable show featuring John Cena is coming back at the expense of the WWE Universe,
“I can confirm that John Cena is out right now in Canada filming Peacemaker season two. So that’s why there were discussions of SummerSlam, and then he shows up on RAW and is like, ‘I’ll be back someday, I don’t know when, but someday. So apparently, he’s filming Peacemaker instead of doing SummerSlam.” (quotes courtesy Thirsty For News)
The Cenation Leader recently appeared on Monday Night RAW to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the flagship show that he used to be the face of. Fans anticipated that the speculated match against Austin Theory could be teased for Summerslam on that night. But now we know, Cena’s Hollywood commitments have barred him from getting involved in any kind of storylines.
