WWE News: Real Reason Why Brock Lesnar Was Sent To Monday Night Raw?
Brock Lesnar made a sudden jump on Monday Night RAW from SmackDown just because he can. Whereas all the superstars are bound with contract exclusive to either USA Network or FOX, it’s only this man who can do whatever he wants just because of some added clause in his contract. Furthermore, the creative team has also generated a storyline to ensure that there’s a reason why he made the shift.
As seen at Crown Jewel, Rey Mysterio has delivered a beatdown on Brock Lesnar with a steel chair in hand. It happened after Lesnar defeated Cain Velasquez for the WWE Championship via the vicious Kimura Lock submission maneuver.
An irate Lesnar wanted a match against The Mexican Legend but could not have it since he is on the red brand. So Brock Lesnar opted the Raw brand so he could wrestle Rey Mysterio.
In the latest episode of After the Bell podcast, Corey Graves brought out a pretty interesting theory on why Brock Lesnar is back on Raw. The Advocate for Lesnar, Paul Heyman is the Executive Director of Raw.
With his client on SmackDown, he definitely had to visit the Friday night show, regularly. Heyman might have just realized the fact and re-inserted Brock Lesnar on the flagship brand.
Here’s more from what Graves had to offer, (ringsidenews.com)
“Selfishly, I hate that because I am a massive Brock Lesnar fan. Love calling his matches, love watching what he does, but he has made the choice to stick to the Red Brand on Monday nights probably to save his Advocate some travel. That would be my guess because Brock is a benevolent human being if nothing else.”
Paul Heyman does visit SmackDown, pretty often. But he would not certainly want to do that on a weekly basis. So it was a smart choice to get these two together and make the biggest impact on the show.
As of now, he is set to face Rey Mysterio that will take place at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event. It will be a personal affair between the two as Lesnar attacked Mysterio’s son, a few weeks ago. The high-flying superstar will try to seek redemption against Brock Lesnar during this future matchup.
