Rhea Ripley On WWE Wrestlemania 37, ‘That Was A Dream Of Mine’

Rhea Ripley was a major part of this year’s WrestleMania where she competed in the second match of her career at the Show of Shows. It was also her two consecutive appearances at this grand stage in title match bouts. Unlike last year, the 24-year-old superstar was actually successful who emerged on top with the new title around her waist.

As seen at WrestleMania 37, Rhea Ripley wrestled Asuka and defeated her to win the Raw Women’s Championship. In the 36th edition, she came up short against Charlotte Flair in a heartbreaking loss. The situation in those two events wasn’t similar as this year she got to perform in front of an audience while last year it was just an empty building.

Rhea Ripley Gets Interesting Role On WWE Raw TV

Thousands of fans cheering for her at the Raymond James Stadium certainly provided her with the enthusiasm she needed for the first official match on WWE main roster. This was quite an experience for the future of the WWE’s female locker room and she enjoyed every single bit of it. At least she admitted the same in a recent conversation.

Rhea Ripley mentioned Wrestlemania 37 lived up to the expectations

During a recent appearance in the Out Of Character podcast, Rhea Ripley spoke about her WrestleMania 37 moment. It was like a dream to her to perform in a big-time match at the Showcase of Immortals. To make things even better, the Brutality singles track was performed, live during her entrance.

“Just to get in the ring with her and finally get that moment to face Asuka. I was so excited and pumped. It definitely lived up to my expectations. I wish that we got to wrestle a little beforehand so we’d know each other that much more. It was still amazing to me and I had so much fun,” Rhea Ripley sounded excited.

“That was a dream of mine to have an actual live performance, especially at WrestleMania. That is a dream for many people, I’d guess. It was just surreal and really special. It definitely felt more like my first true WrestleMania moment.”

Rhea Ripley is the reigning Raw Women’s Champion who is now heading toward her second title defense. At WrestleMania Backlash, she will face Charlotte Flair and Asuka in a Triple Threat. No fans will be in attendance on May 16th for that PPV but that won’t stop the champion from delivering a stellar performance in order to retain her belt.
