Ronda Rousey was the main event attraction for this past week’s Smackdown as she made her debut on the blue brand. The big announcement around her Wrestlemania 38 opponent was made by her while she also sent a message to the reigning champion, Charlotte Flair. Plus, she was also seen in action once the show went off the air.
Some of the images surfaced on the internet from Smackdown dark segment where the main event match took place the winner of this year’s women’s Royal Rumble teamed with Naomi in a tag match against Natalya and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte.
Former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champions Reportedly Returning Before Wrestlemania 38
This was a heavy squash match as “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey delivered a dominant performance in the ring. She eventually made Nattie tap out with the armbar submission before Charlotte or Naomi were even tagged into the match. The winning team celebrated with the fans and sent the crowd home happy to end the show that took place from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ronda Rousey made her Smackdown debut on Friday
As noted above, SmackDown witnessed Ronda Rousey making her first blue brand appearance, interrupting SmackDown Women’s Champion Flair and WWE Official Sonya Deville. The segment led to Rousey choosing Flair as her WrestleMania opponent. Charlotte went for a cheap shot but Rousey ducked it and applied an armbar to Deville as Flair looked on. The staredown ended the show.
Apart from Ronda Rousey, Drew McIntyre and the Viking Raiders also teamed up in a six-man tag team match to defeat The Usos and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. One of the Usos was pinned. Also, Roman tore a fan’s sign who was sitting at ringside. Paul Heyman then took the mic and stated “sit his Oklahoma a** down or I’ll come over there and make you.” (info courtesy Wrestling INC)

Also, there have been some dark matches before SmackDown aired where several WWE NXT stars performed. Former WWE NXT Women’s Champions Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez competed in a singles match in which Gonzalez picked up the pinfall win. Tommaso Ciampa and Roderick Strong also competed in another dark match, with Ciampa getting the pinfall win.
