Royal Rumble 2022 will be an extravaganza, this weekend where two Rumble matches from the men’s and women’s division will be the main event attractions. A star-studded field has already been announced for the Women’s Rumble while more surprises are also expected. In a similar fashion, a couple of surprise names should be appearing on the Men’s Rumble and the latest news is that WWE is bringing two such names to the show.
Two top NXT talents will be brought in for Royal Rumble 2022 weekend, according to the reports of PWinsider. The NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Gunther, previously known as WALTER, will reportedly be present in St. Louis during this Saturday’s event. There’s no confirmation on whether they will be in the Rumble match but they’re likely to appear in the same capacity.

Back at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, Bron Breakker defeated Tomasso Ciampa to win his first Championship in WWE, the NXT Title. This possibly marked the farewell for Ciampa in the newer version of the NXT brand as Breakker is in charge of the show. Breakker has been receiving praise to be the new leader of the third brand of the WWE in such a quick time.

Royal Rumble 2022 may have two participants from NXT
During a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Breakker also commented on possibly appearing in Royal Rumble 2022 match,
“If the opportunity presents itself, I’m going,” he said. “That’d be awesome. I’d love to have that opportunity, it’d be freakin’ nuts. I hope it happens.”
As for Gunther, he’s come to the mainstay league of NXT after a name change from WALTER. He was in charge of NXT UK for years. He quickly after defeating Pete Dunne to become the NXT World Champion, a title he held for a historic 870 days before losing it to the current champion, Ilja Dragunov.
As of now, Men and Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 matches have 15 and 21 confirmed participants. Check out the already announced names for the upcoming match:
