WWE Smackdown: Braun Strowman & Bray Wyatt Out Of Title Picture?
Sep 25, 2020 at 12:53 PM
For the better part of the post-Wrestlemania scenario on Smackdown, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt were taking forward the championship picture. Then Roman Reigns was back at Summerslam pushing these two back in the line, perhaps. While both of them were involved in the title match at Payback 2020, no involvements by were noticed for Clash of Champions 2020 and the condition may remain the same.
WWE has a lot going on as they head toward the annual event where every championship remains on the line. They already had a stacked card set up from both Raw and Smackdown and Braun Strowman isn’t a part of any match.

WWE Smackdown: Braun Strowman & Bray Wyatt Out Of Title Picture?
He rather showed up on Raw Underground for the past couple of weeks which was his first appearance since losing the Universal Title match at Payback. There is a reason why he hasn’t appeared on the blue brand since then.
Ringside News has informed that Braun Strowman spent some time on Raw Underground for two main reasons. Firstly, a prime name like Braun Strowman gave Raw Underground a major boost in viewership, but it also provided him with a much-needed win on television. The fight against Dabba-Kato might not help him in the near future on Smackdown, but it was showcased as a big win, at least.

It was also noted by the source that Braun Strowman wasn’t needed on SmackDown as they headed toward Clash Of Champions 2020. A member of the creative team explained that Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman’s act is “red hot” on Friday nights, as of now. So, they decided to focus more on Jey Uso and Reigns’ storyline while keeping Strowman and Bray Wyatt aside.
If you're wondering why Braun Strowman showed up on #RAWUnderground we were told it was to give him a big win and get Underground some attention. It was also a way to use him while they were focusing on the "red hot" Heyman/Reigns angle. More to come on @ringsidenews_

Bray Wyatt didn’t appear last week on Smackdown for the same reason as they simply want the focus on the Reigns vs Uso storyline. “Bray and Braun were not necessities for focus on Smackdown,” but we can only hope that would not be the case for both the former Universal Champions.
The Fiend gimmick of Bray Wyatt is used only when it’s needed around the big pay-per-view events. The assumption is he could be back around Survivor Series of at that point when WWE would consider Reigns vs Fiend feud to kick-start on Smackdown programming. But that would only be reserved for a bigger occasion.
