Sonya Deville is a regular feature on WWE TV who earned the respect of the critics with her top heel work in recent times. While she is a popular name in the professional wrestling circuit, her work for the LGBTQ community has also earned her fame in the mainstream world. However, things weren’t easy for her after experiencing a terrible stalking incident.
For those who don’t know, Sonya Deville was involved in a horrific incident back on August 16, 2020. A person named Philip Thomas II decided to invade her house in Florida. He was apparently stalking her online for several years before trying to kidnap the WWE Superstar. Philip had been planning on the heinous activity for the past 8 months and hence he broke into her home with the intention of holding her hostage.

A temporary protection injunction was lodged which prevented Phillip from going anywhere near Sonya Deville and her property. While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, the WWE Official opened up about the stalker incident. She revealed that things were terrible for her after that break-in as she even feared going into her house.
“It’s been a crazy ride and you never know something like that is gonna happen until it happens. And you don’t know how you’re gonna feel about something like that happening until it happens. I’ll just say, the day of, I was like, ‘Oh, everything’s fine. I’m gonna go sleep in my house tonight.’ And then by the time nightfall came I was – like, couldn’t even drive to the neighborhood. So, it’s crazy.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Apart from playing the role of a TV official, Sonya Deville has been an in-ring performer on WWE TV, as well. She challenged Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship on Monday Night RAW but that turned out to be a failed attempt.
