The reigning AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker has teased dream matches in the past and now she has indicated another bout against perhaps the greatest female performer of all time in Trish Stratus. She posted a picture to Twitter where she stood face-to-face with the WWE Hall of Famer.
No such description of the photo was given. But Britt rather tagged Trish Stratus and put a smirking emoji as the caption.
Baker has been one of the top female performers in the professional wrestling industry over the past few years. She has been the AEW women’s champion since defeating Hikaru Shida at Double Or Nothing on May 30, 2021. She last retained the title over Thunder Rosa at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view but then lost the scheduled rematch with Rosa inside a steel cage on the March 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.

As for Trish Stratus, she’s busy with non-wrestling projects for the time being. She is a judge on Canada’s Got Talent, which premiered on Tuesday, March 22 on CityTV in Canada. She is down to return to the WWE for more dream matches and one more title run. She last appeared for an in-ring action at SummerSlam 2019 for the loss to SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

Trish Stratus willing to compete in more dream matches
Trish Stratus occasional appearances for WWE since retiring as an active full-time performer in 2006. Being a legendary name, Stratus was rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Stephanie McMahon in 2013. Afterward, she made an in-ring return in 2018 at the Evolution pay-per-view. The same year she competed in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Trish Stratus is always rumored to come out for special appearances given that she’s a hugely popular name. She’s been a seven-time WWE Women’s Champion and someday she would like to add one more run with the belt. Given the right opponent and right circumstances, she’s open to having a comeback. Here’s what she had to say about this in a recent interview with Highspots virtual signing event.
Earlier this year, Trish Stratus also spoke on The Bellas Podcast about laying the groundwork for the modern pro wrestlers,
“I just sort of go ‘you’re welcome’ to everyone. No, of course, it’s collaborative efforts for sure. But I mean, it really was, it was a lane of groundwork. And from the beginning it was, it was everything from re-educating fans on what to expect from the female performer. It was the acceptance of the fans. It was the acceptance of the producers backstage for them to go ‘okay, maybe we can give them this.’” (quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)
