Soon after Vince McMahon made his shocking return to the WWE Board of Directors, his daughter, Stephanie McMahon left the company. She dropped a bombshell last Tuesday evening and thereby announced that she’s leaving the WWE Board of Directors and thereby resigning from the Co-CEO of WWE position that she was appointed to, last July following Vince’s departure from the company.
As a result of Stephanie McMahon’s resignation, major changes have also been noticed in WWE’s leadership as Nick Khan now only holds the title of sole WWE CEO, while Vince McMahon has been elected as Executive Chairman of the Board.
Stephanie McMahon’s WWE Resignation Timeline Revealed Through WWE SEC Filing
For years prior to this, WWE had Vince McMahon as the Chairman and CEO while Stephanie McMahon worked as an executive with her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque overseeing the developmental.
Last summer, the equation changed when Vince had to leave the WWE from his duties amid a hush money scandal going against him. Triple H took over the main roster creative while his wife and Nick were named as the two co-CEOs. Now, that dimension has already changed within just a few months.

Stephanie McMahon was voted out of the WWE
In an update on the ongoing backstage drama in the WWE, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer wrote about how Stephanie McMahon was essentially forced out of the company because of the actions of her father. She had fallouts working with the universal boss in the WWE,
“Vince’s replacing Stephanie as Chairman of the Board was actually on 1/9, as was the unanimous vote with Stephanie off the board. Her letter of resignation from the company was taken officially the next day. Essentially she was removed from her position and then Vince was voted in unanimously.”
It should be announced that before taking over the duties as co-CEO and Chairwoman, Stephanie McMahon also announced a leave of absence from the WWE with the idea of focusing on her family life. However, she returned to the board sooner after the hush money scandal broke out. Unlike last time, the latest departure seems to be permanent.
With Vince taking over the corporate things in the WWE, the expectation is that the company will be sold within the next six months with global giants lined up to take things over.
