Edge

Top 5 WWE World Heavyweight Champions Of All-Time 1

With his contemporaries like John Cena, Randy Orton, and Triple H capturing the WWE Championship picture on Monday Night Raw, Edge was given the duties to run things on Smackdown, and down the road, he went on to become the most relevant World Heavyweight Champion of all time.

Just like a predator-like persona, The Rated R Superstar always ensured that he kept the Big Gold Belt around his shoulder all the time. Willing to go to desperate measures to be the World Heavyweight Champion through his heel persona, Edge made the fans believe that the title would mean everything to him and to whoever that’s carrying the title.

Between 2007 and 2011, Edge won the world title for a record seven times, the maximum number of occasions in the history of WWE. The overall 11-time champion in WWE’s history retired in 2011 at Wrestlemania 27 while being the World Heavyweight Champion and fittingly enough, he never dropped that belt.
