WWE Smackdown regularly gets Pat McAfee on the commentary table. Being an enthusiastic character, he gets a tremendous amount of fan-favoritisms from the WWE Universe. They will be happy to know that the former MMA personality will stay around the WWE scene for more time than we can assume.

As revealed last night, the WWE Smackdown commentator has signed a multi-year extension with WWE. According to the update from WrestleVotes, Pat just signed the contract extension a few weeks back. Everyone who was involved in the deal was said to be thrilled to get the sign extension done.

The signing of the color commentator of WWE Smackdown was then made official by the WWE with an illustrious statement as they posted the following about him,

“STAMFORD, Conn., July 7, 2022 – WWE today announced that Pat McAfee has signed a multiyear extension with WWE.

Since April 2021, McAfee has served as an analyst, alongside Michael Cole, for Friday Night SmackDown at 8 pm ET live each week on FOX. The new pact will see McAfee entertaining the WWE Universe for years to come.”

Pat’s regular partner on WWE Smackdown, Michael Cole also praised him in a big way after the deal was finalized between the two parties. For years Cole has worked with the likes of Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross, Jim Cornette, Taz, Jonathan Coachman, Booker T, JBL, and many more. But accruing to the voice of the WWE, working with Pat is a highlight of each week. In response, Pat called Cole as the GOAT of a professional wrestling broadcast.

Earlier this year, Pat McAfee got involved in a feud on WWE Smackdown with rising superstar Theory. Then he delighted fans during his WrestleMania debut at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas while battling Theory and then against former WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon. The stories night for him ended by receiving a stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Moving on, Pat is set to face WWE Smackdown Superstar Happy Corbin at WWE SummerSlam on July 30th at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville. After the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Corbin attacked Pat and answer the latter’s earlier challenge to make the match, official.
