On Saturday night at Clash at the Castle premium live event, Roman Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre. Sources indicated heading into the event that there are chances that the reigning champion might drop his belt. Chances became even higher as The Bloodline did not have the opportunity to accompany The Tribal Chief to the ring.
Neither the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos nor the Special Counsel Paul Heyman was there to gain the upper hand for Roman Reigns. At one point, it seemed that Drew McIntyre had the match won with a Spear followed by a Claymore Kick but then a mystery man arrived at the ring in a hood and pulled the referee out of the ring before he could make the third count.

The mystery man then revealed his identity and he turned out to be Roman Reigns’ cousin, and brother of The Usos, Solo Sikoa from NXT 2.0. After helping out the top champion, it is evident that he will join The Bloodline. After the match, Sikoa indicated the same by walking up the ramp with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion as they made headed to the backstage area.
Roman Reigns to regularly have Solo Sikoa by his side on SmackDown
PWInsider is reporting that current plans are set for the newest NXT call-up on the main roster. Sikoa is going to be a regular feature on the Friday Night SmackDown brand, moving forward. This makes sense as The Bloodline runs things on the Friday Night show. There’s currently no update on whether he will be appearing regularly on Raw, as well.
With Sikoa now residing on the main roster, The Bloodline is stronger than ever with the numbers growing by their side. They’ll be unstoppable for all the right reasons and it will be interesting to see where things go from here with the Samoan faction. Roman Reigns is poised to remain the champion for a long time. With his limited time schedule, it appears that he will put his title on the line again after a minimum gap, at least.
Roman Reigns has been staying at the top of his game for the past couple of years. He recently celebrated two years as the Universal Champion. Plus, The Tribal Chief also picked up a big win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 a few weeks ago to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in the process. Drew McIntyre tried to end the reign at WWE Clash at the Castle but failed.
