Why Bobby Lashley Being Protected On WWE Programming

While some of the fans might have missed the recent royal treatment that Bobby Lashley has been receiving, as of late, the rest of the IWC might haven’t. Vince McMahon’s opinion is the only thing that really matters when it comes to WWE programming. It is a very good thing for the United States Champion that he is on the good books of the chairman.

Vince McMahon sees something special in Bobby Lashley’s talent and this is the reason why he is getting a push, recently. The All-Mighty has been protected as the CEO of the Hurt Business. The trend continued for the entire summer timespan while he has also maintained a dominating presence as the reigning WWE United States Champion.

Why Bobby Lashley Being Protected On WWE Programming

Ringside News was asked about this protection of Bobby Lashley on the Raw roster. The source was specifically inquired if he might be groomed for something bigger programs, down the line. The source was told that Lashley is “seen by Vince McMahon as more of a star than the others on the roster.”

The source couldn’t find a specific reason why WWE is building Bobby Lashley as a force to reckon with. A lot of fans could think that it could eventually lead up to that dream match against Brock Lesnar but that’s a long-term story. The Beast Incarnate has not signed a new contract with the WWE and nor did any involvements have been noted in this regard.

It is good for Bobby Lashley that WWE is keeping him with so strong status. He can only expect that Vince McMahon won’t cool down to a talent like him who has veteran instincts. Right now Bobby, the CEO of the company seems really happy with his work.

While discussing his WWE run with Inside The Ropes, Lio Rush, the former manager of The Dominator was asked if the company had any plans of doing Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley. The Man Of The Hour stated that it was definitely something that he and Lashley wanted. But WWE had some other plans,

“It was in me and Bobby’s plans but I don’t think it was in the company’s plans. We always brought it up, we always tried to pitch it. It felt right you know Bobby was pretty open that he came back to the WWE because he wanted to wrestle Brock so I thought it was inevitable. I built a relationship with Paul Heyman very unexpectedly.

I was in promo class in NXT. Paul Heyman stood there and watched me cut my promo. He took me aside and told me how good I did. Then once I got to RAW, he helped me develop my character a little bit so I naturally had that relationship with Paul Heyman, it was clear Bobby wanted to wrestle Brock, they’re both built as these beasts with managers who could talk, so we thought that it was gonna happen but it just unfortunately never did.”
